Butter is been know to cause buns to be very oily. this buns recipe is made without butter to judge the outcome, and it came out to be very good. One would no know the difference from the one that has butter in it. i can say it has enough eggs and baking powder. coupled with the fact that it was made soft when frying. it came out awesome!
Recipe
3 cups flour
1/2 sugar
1/2 - 1 tsp salt
1 tbsp. baking powder
wet ingredients
1 cup milk/water
2 tbsp. butter (not used in this one for trial)
2 medium eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla
procedure
- combine all the dry ingredeints and whisk well
- mix all the wet ingredient well and add to the dry ingredients
- mix thoroughly with spoon then hands
- mold to desired size then deep-fry on a low heat stove/cooker
tip
The heat must be really low allow it cook on the inside and be crispy on the outside.
